John Seaberg MD

Dr. John Seaberg is a board certified orthopedic sports medicine specialist who is fellowship trained in arthroscopic and reconstructive shoulder and knee surgery. With additional expertise in operative and non-operative fracture care and sports injuries, he treats a range of injuries and conditions affecting active people of all ages.

Dr. Seaberg obtained sub-specialty sports medicine training at the renowned American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. Utilizing the latest technology and sports medicine research he helps patients rapidly return to pre-injury condition.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the Texas Medical Association and the Harris County Medical Association.

Education and Training
Dr. Seaberg obtained his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas in Houston and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Interests and Activities
A college athlete himself, Dr. Seaberg took an early interest in the types of overuse conditions and impact injuries often affecting amateur and professional athletes. His research interests today include anatomical shoulder ligament reconstruction, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries and postoperative outcome of tibia fractures.

He is Head Team Physician for Prairie View A&M University.
